Face of Today (FOT) Youth Wellness Program Coordinator

Role Description:

We are looking for a Youth Wellness Program Coordinator to facilitate our new mental health programming services for vulnerable youth at our downtown Vancouver resource centre.

There are two primary roles for this position:

1. To coordinate and monitor interdisciplinary programs for vulnerable youth through FOT’s Youth Wellness Program.

2. To collaborate and with the Face of Today Visionary Leadership to team to further develop opportunities for vulnerable youth to support mental health.



The Face of Today Program Coordinator directly collaborates with Visionary leadership team and volunteers.  The Coordinator ensures that participating youth organizations and volunteers and are properly supported and that tasks are accomplished in accordance with FOT’s program mission and schedule 

Core Duties:

Assist in planning and coordinating program activities to ensure services are being provided as specified.
Direct and supervise the day-to-day actions of volunteer team members to ensure that commitments and are being carried out as specified. 
Ensure the proper implementation of FOT’s policies and procedures within the resource centre.
Liaise with FOT Visionary leadership team  support and develop the core work of Face of Today’s wellness programming for vulnerable youth. Programming will focus on mental health development through creative arts, nutrition and wellness, movement and fitness, speciality education series and community events.
Plan and organize the collection of data related to the operating, monitoring & evaluation of programming, as required,
Identify and pursue new opportunities for community partnerships and hosting youth organizations though programming.
Collaborate and engage in planning for future youth programming and mental health awareness initiatives
Identify and provide opportunities for participant and volunteer development, capacity building & training.
Open to collecting and managing program data digitally as per FOT’s policies
Available to attend leadership meetings each month.

Committed to supporting youth and advocating for mental health through  FOT program pillars and teams through communal and one on one activities and mentorship.

This is a leadership role. Experience with program management and volunteers is preferred.  Experience in mental health support and youth ( either or both education and work) are assets.

Must have strong collaboration skills and a passionate desire to work within a team for good.

Time commitment: 10-15 hours per month for a minimum of 1 year. Volunteer Training will be provided.
