Volunteer - Partnerships Director

Position description: 

The Partnerships Team Director develops strategies for raising revenue, builds the framework to maintain relationships with business partners, and identifies opportunities for new alliances.

Deliverables/Duties: 
  • Develop partner networks and strategic sponsorships across Canada
  • Deliver professional sales presentations to potential sponsor organizations with the ability to persuade and close business
  • Ensure compliance with sponsorship elements agreed upon in contract negotiations
  • Together with the CEO establish clear sponsorship goals and strategies to increase the reach and impact of our ongoing efforts to support and advance women in the technology industry
  • Oversight and process development for on each strategic area under partnerships ensuring regularly reporting on progress
  • Provide guidance and support for partnership team to improve organizational capacity in fundraising, community engagement, partner and sponsor management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to structure and execute business initiatives, lead analysis and develop and communicate final recommendations for growing partner relationships
Qualifications: 
  • Proven ability to find strategic partnerships that have led to an increase in corporate sponsorship
  • Proven ability to negotiate and work with high level executives
  • Strong analytic skills (financial, planning, operational)
  • Tangible experience of having expanded and cultivated existing partnerships over time
  • Strong relationship building skills and an entrepreneurial approach that leverages further opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral and excellent relationship building skills
