Position description: 

BIOEPOKAS is an international non-profit organization dedicated to inventing and implementing new models to make the world a greener and fairer place. The Volunteer Fundraising Team Leader will spend a few hours per week at setting up a fundraising strategy and a small volunteer fundraising team for the organization. S/he will look into the various funding options from grants to crowdfunding, and different types of donations to craft and implement an efficient fundraising strategy for the organization. This is a great role for anyone interested in building their fundraising experience and to expand their knowledge about international environmental initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Look into the various funding options available and define an efficient fundraising strategy
  • Implement the fundraising strategy
  • Set up and supervise a small volunteer fundraising team
  • Create and maintain a database of potential funding options
  • Organize and supervise fundraising activities as required
Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to think laterally and produce original materials
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access computer programs preferred
  • Access to your own internet and computer

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree standard qualification 
  • A good knowledge of PC packages, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Good presentation and communication skills 
  • Experience of writing persuasive letters or proposals

Basic Details  

The volunteer position is for at least 1 or 2 days per week with a minimum expectation of 2 months duration. The volunteer will work remotely from her/his home.
