Position description: 

The West End Seniors' Network (WESN) is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of older adults by providing social, recreational, educational and supportive programs and services that foster connection and inclusion in the broader community.

Every summer, the West End Seniors’ Network and our volunteers host the Strawberry Festival - a family-friendly block party with music, food, raffle prizes, vendor and community booths, and fun activities for children. This year’s Festival will be taking place on Saturday, June 22nd in the park next to 1447 Barclay St. (Barclay Heritage Square, 1433 Barclay St.) and we need your help to make it happen!

We are looking for volunteers who can help us set-up the field in the morning and tear-down in the afternoon, join our Green Team to make sure that everything we use is disposed of properly, assemble strawberry shortcakes, supervise the kids zone, and more. Food, refreshments, and a slice of strawberry shortcake are provided to all our volunteers.

Deliverables/Duties: 
  • Help with set-up, Green Team, take-down, strawberry shortcake assembly, or kids zone
Qualifications: 

* Physically fit - able to stand or walk around for 1 - 3 hours

* Reliable

* Able to speak and understand English

* No criminal record
