Position description: 

The Wideman Education Foundation (WEF), launched in 2007, is an autonomous volunteer organization and registered charity, created to promote sound project management capabilities, especially among young people.  We advance education by providing workshops and educational competitions to students and practitioners on the theory and practice of project management principles and skills.

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to lead our website renewal project.

The Project Manager is expected to:  

  1. Detail the scope
  2. Manage skilled volunteer(s) in preparing site design
  3. Develop the WBS and schedule
  4. Develop the Budget
  5. Identify project phases, building on MVP
  6. Manage skilled volunteer(s) in implementing the site on a hosted platform (E.g. Wordpress)
  7. Identify Risks, communicate and plan risk responses 
  8. Escalate key decisions or variances to the board for approval at monthly board meetings (or as necessary via email)

Project management experience, website project experience is desirable but not necessary
