The Wideman Education Foundation (WEF), launched in 2007, is an autonomous volunteer organization and registered charity, created to promote sound project management capabilities, especially among young people.  We advance education by providing workshops and educational competitions to students and practitioners on the theory and practice of project management principles and skills.

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to lead our annual student competition. The competition engages student teams in applying sound project management principles and they are judged by leaders in the profession. 

The Project Manager is expected to:  

  1. Organize and delegate core activities to deliver a successful competition  
  2. Own the WBS, Schedule, and Budget
  3. Work with skilled volunteers providing specific deliverables for the competition
  4. Communicate risks to the Board, and manage those risks
  5. Manage event day volunteers
  6. Coordinate with competition judges 
  7. Ensure activities leading up to and on event day are effectively executed
