Position description: 

Low Entropy is a registered charity that is making personal development
accessible to all, and in doing so providing people with tools to change themselves and the world.

Position Summary: Facilitate an online weekly or biweekly* peer-sharing circle for adults to explore meaningful and transformational topics.

Position Commitment: 2-5 hours/week comprised of:
Facilitation - 2 hours weekly or biweekly* based on facilitator availability
Prep/debrief/coaching - 1-2 hours weekly or biweekly
Facilitator meetings - 1-1.5 hours monthly
Location: Online
Dates/Times: Flexible

Position Overview:
We are looking for volunteer facilitators who are passionate about co-creating compassionate
spaces for adults to explore topics that deepen and expand their understanding of themselves and
others, as a means for more authentic relationships and greater fulfillment in their lives.

Each facilitator brings their own unique touch and style to their group. The range of styles includes
facilitating free-flowing discussion without topics, focusing on a core topic and exploring participant
experience, or teaching about a particular topic with reflections for participants.

The purpose of Conscious Connections is to create a safe space for each other where we can learn
from one another, collectively hold compassionate, loving space, and share our journey together.

Round table discussion related to the "topic of choice"
Hands-on exercise
Closing circle

Previously in person, Conscious Connections is now online to create more inclusive spaces to support individuals during COVID. We are based in more than 7 cities in the Lower Mainland and expanding and the online gatherings are open to all.

Facilitators may choose to run their gatherings weekly or biweekly based on their availability.

Responsibilities:

Commit to facilitating/co-facilitating weekly or biweekly gatherings
Plan the gatherings (including choosing a discussion topic from our list or create your own)
Upload feedback and debrief into a shared resource drive
Attend monthly facilitator meetings
Touch base with Conscious Connections Program Coordinator to discuss progress

Qualifications and Skills:

Available weekly or biweekly to prep and host gathering
Passionate for supporting others in their personal explorations
Basic computer skills and capacity to deliver the program through Zoom Video Conference
