Nature Club Co-leader (NatureKids TriCities)
NatureKids is designed to get children aged 5-12 years old and their families outside exploring nature. We operate volunteer-led nature clubs for children and their families in dozens of communities around BC. We are looking for volunteer leaders for our Tri-Cities area club. As a leader of a local nature club, your primary responsibility will be to organize hands-on outdoor field trips—called Explorer Days—for NatureKids members and their families. You can lead these yourself or find a Nature Mentor in your community e.g. retired biologist, keen birder or local bee keeper! These events run on the weekends.
All our club leaders are volunteers – if you are organized, interested in the environment, and can help organize monthly explorer days this opportunity may be for you!
NatureKids BC is widely recognized as a leader in enabling BC's children to achieve their full potential derived from exposure to nature, it is the only organization of its kind in BC and the largest provincial network of nature clubs for children and families.
