Face of Today (FOT) Mental Health and Youth Support Volunteers

Role Description:

We are looking for a Mental Health and Youth Support Volunteers for our youth programming at our downtown Vancouver resource centre.

There are two primary roles for this position:

1. To support interdisciplinary programs and  youth peers working with vulnerable youth through FOT’s Youth Wellness Program.

2. To collaborate with and mentor vulnerable and newcomer youth in alignment with FOT's vision, mission and program strategy.

 

Deliverables/Duties:

Supports the following activities and directives:

Functions as an active member of the FOT volunteer community by attending all volunteer meetings.

Committed to supporting youth and advocating for mental health through  FOT program pillars and teams through communal and one on one activities and mentorship.

Qualifications: 

Experience with mental health support and youth ( either or both education and work) are assets.

Must have strong collaboration skills and a passionate desire to work within a team for good.

Time commitment: 5 hours per month for a minimum of 6 months. Volunteer Training will be provided.
