Position description: 

The Recreation Therapy program at Yaletown House assists our residents to achieve optimal health and quality of life. Volunteers play an essential role in allowing us to facilitate safe, person centered, therapeutic programs. Volunteers are needed to assist with a manicure program on Thursday evenings from 5:30 - 7.

Deliverables/Duties: 

Provide manicures to seniors.

Qualifications: 

Kind and patient.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work with people who have compromised memory and communication.

Role is suitable for: 
Adult
Additional Information: 

Experience volunteering in a residential care facility that meets the complex needs of seniors.
Reference letter after three months of continuous service.
Meet and work with interesting people. A criminal records check is required.
