Korean Speaking Volunteer

Position description: 

Visit a Korean speaking resident who is at risk for social isolation due to a language barrier.  This position can be filled by a single volunteer, a pair or a small group.

Deliverables/Duties: 
  • Visit Yaletown House once or twice weekly.
  • Provide social engagement for a senior who is Korean speaking.
  • Provide encouragement/support as this resident transitions to living ina long term care facility.
Qualifications: 

Speaks Korean

Good social skills.

Independent.

Passes a criminal records check.
