Hospital Gift Shop Volunteer
The Hospital Gift Shop is managed by the Chilliwack Service League Society. Funds raised through the Gift Shop are donated to Chilliwack Health Services to assist in the purchase of hospital equipment and comfort items/supplies for patients and residents in the community of Chilliwack. Volunteers assist customers to choose purchases, stock shelves and operate cash machine equipment. Shift times are daily 10:30 am to 1:30 pm OR 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Duties include assisting customers to purchase items for sale, operate cash machines, re-stock shelves, and light bookkeeping.
Retail experience is preferred, but not mandatory. We are looking for people that have a helpful attitude and sincere desire to give back to your community!
Physical ability to stand for 1-3 hours with intermittent breaks to sit; ability to move boxes weighing approximately 10 lbs and unload products to stock shelves
Ability to maintain confidentiality in a health care environment.
Regular weekly or bi-weekly attendance is required.
The Service League offers opportunities to be involved in a variety of volunteer roles in the hospital and to be part of a social organization. Meetings are held monthly and provide an opportunity to meet new people in your community. A satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal record report must be obtained. Volunteer Resources staff will assist to complete the application form. An influenza vaccine is required between December 1 - March 31 each year.
