Position description: 

The Horticulture Therapy program at Yaletown House provides residents with the opportunity for creative expression while meeting their physical and social needs. Volunteers will work under the direct supervision of the Horticultural Therapist.

Time slots available:

Tuesday from 10 - 12.

Deliverables/Duties: 

Pick up flower donations at two stores in the Yaletown neighborhood. Participate in the Gardening Club.
Various gardening related duties.
Working with people who have compromised memory and communication.

Qualifications: 

Patient, kind. Ability to take direction. Enjoys working with people and plants.

This is a great opportunity for students of Recreation Therapy, Horticulture Therapy, Master Gardeners and health care studies.
