Grocery - Wednesday Distribution Day

Position description: 

To assist the Grocery program in distributing groceries to people living with HIV/AIDS in the Greater Vancouver area. The AIDS Vancouver Grocery allows for individuals to choose nutritious food items in a safe and non-judgmental environment. This position assists in distribution of community partner bags to people living with HIV.

Distribution Day from 1 pm to 4 pm on Wednesdays

Supervisor: Grocery Program Staff

Commitment: No more than 4 hours per week

Deliverables/Duties: 

Assist other volunteers and Grocery staff in distributing Groceries to HIV positive individuals
Stock shelves during Grocery hours
Help support clients choose Grocery options

Qualifications: 

Physical ability to lift and transfer goods (up to 50lbs)
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to follow directions
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable
Must have a drivers licence and access to a car
Comfort working with diverse people
Ability to connect and be social with people
Interested in HIV/AIDS and related issues
