Position description: 

Are you passionate about the power of education to change the world?  Put your grant writing skills to use volunteering virtually with Education without Borders (EwB).  The EwB mandate is to foster educational opportunities and provide educational facilities in disadvantaged regions of the world. EwB supports after-school programs for learners in South Africa as well as indigenous programs in Canada. 

Working remotely from home, liaising and supporting the EwB Fundraising Committee, in this volunteer role you will:

Understand EwB programs, goals and financial needs
Research and identify applicable granting opportunities
Develop and write grant proposals
Maintain a calendar of submissions and other deadlines
Coordinate reporting on grants to funders

The expected time commitment is a minimum 6-8 hours a month on an ongoing basis.
