Position description: 

West End Seniors' Network improves the quality of life of adults aged 55+ by providing social, educational and recreational programs and services that foster connection and inclusion in the broader community.

We are looking for a volunteer who can come in every Friday afternoon from 1:00-4:00pm to set-up for, enjoy and then take down for our Friday afternoon movies. This volunteer can also have a role in planning which movies to show for the month (to be discussed with the Manager of Programs and in compliance with our license).


Set up chairs in the TV room
Set-up laptop/entertainment system with the TV
Take donations
Make and serve popcorn (microwave)
Put away chairs and gather popcorn bowls and leave in kitchen at the end of the movie
Aid the Manager of Programs in selecting movies for the next month by the newsletter deadline date (in compliance with our license)



Patient and friendly personality
Able to work independently
Physically able to move furniture and set-up folding chairs
Basic knowledge of TV set-up to play the movie

Role is suitable for: 
13 - 18
All Ages
English as a second language (ESL)
