False Creek Community Association (on Granville Island)
False Creek Community Association (FCCA) is a volunteer led organization that guides programming at the Centre jointly with Vancouver Parks Board; everyone within the catchment is welcome to participate. We need your help - your opinion matters in our community, join our Directors or contribute to a committee.
- Are you looking for opportunities to contribute to the False Creek Community Centre?
- Do you have an interest in advancing recreation programming ?
- Do you wish to gain Board or Committee experience ?
- Want to make a difference in what we offer all of our patrons?
If you’re looking for opportunities to enhance your community, look no further and join the False Creek Community Association. We are seeking individuals to join our Board and Committees TODAY leading into our AGM in May.
Our Committees meet once a month on a regular basis for roughly 2 hours at a time each meeting (evenings on Mondays or Wednesdays); current committees include Programs, Governance, Finance, Fitness and Facilities or even consider joining our Board.
Our current Board of Directors consist of False Creek residents and individuals that work within our catchment who represent the broad diversity of our community to ensure the Centre is serving the needs of all residents. Our catchment includes the area between east of Burrard and west of Cambie Street, north of West 16th Avenue towards False Creek on Granville Island. If you are a neighbour, reside/work in our catchment or are a patron at our Centre - WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
