Cooking/Baking Coach

Position description: 

To assist an adult living with a disability once a week, to bake or prepare meals independently. Proper nutrition, cooking techniques and safe food practices are a vital part of this role. (Professional training is not required). Monday evenings 6:00 - 8:00pm are preferred.

Qualifications: 

Ability to plan a meal and prepare it in a residential kitchen while providing instruction. Experience working with individuals with disabilities would be an asset but is not required. Collaberate with Recreation Coordinator to make sure ingreedients are available and must be able to communicate effectively in English.

Additional Information: 

Training will be provided by staff. (Occupational therapist and recreation.)
This will assist the individual to reach their goal of living more independently. Share your cooking skills and creativity with others, the rewards are endless. Coffee / Tea; Meal
