Position description: 

We are looking for a dynamic and social media savvy individual who can spread the word and promote this rewarding sport. We are looking to bring awareness to potential players that may be new to their power chairs or have never heard of the sport. We are also looking to bring awarenss to the disability community and stay top of mind with our community partners. We have a number of exciting events including: Monthly Game days, Provincials, Fairs that are great opportunities to take photos and videos and share our successes as we grow the sport in BC. 

Vancouver Powerer Chair Soccer is a society/ club that supports individuals in electric wheelchair to participate in a worldwide recognized sport that parallels the game of soccer played with an enlarged soccer ball and foot guard secured to power chairs. We are the largest group to partake in this sport and have partaken in tournaments, Nationals and International competitions in the past. 

 

Deliverables/Duties: 

Develop and post unique, fresh, and timely social media content.
Monitor and maintain social media accounts on a regular basis including Facebook and Instagram and Twitter.
Connect with our followers and respond to their comments and questions in a timely and professional manner.
Contribute to company website and/or blog
Take pictures and video at events  (Games, tournaments, expos, fairs)
Become an advocate for Vancouver Power Chair Soccer

Qualifications: 

Experience using different social media outlets (i.e. Facebook, Instigram, Twitter, Website Development) is an asset. Must be able to communicate effectively in English and reside in the Vancouver area to attend occasional meetings and events.
