In this pivotal role, you have a key role in making important decisions about the voice and perception of VAFF. Your role is also pivotal for other teams that rely on your knowledge of VAFF’s Marketing Strategy to assist them in ensuring a cohesive experience is had by our audience, sponsors and donors.
Work closely with Co-Marketing Director, Festival Director / Creative Director / Social Media Director / Programming Director / PR Director/ Sponsorship Director to develop an overall Marketing Strategy to increase awareness, audience and ticket sales.
Manage the Project Based Marketing Teams together with the Marketing Manager to oversee the progress of, delegate tasks to or work with the Marketing Team, incl. Marketing Manager, Content & Copywriter, Social Media team to ensure deadlines are met and campaigns are carried out fully.
Work together with the Marketing Team to create the annual Editorial Calendar.
Working closely with the Creative Director/ Festival Director, Create Creative Brief / Event Briefs guidelines to utilize on for all projects that include the annual festival, MAMM and others programs which delegate to Marketing Manager in developing execution plan.
Delegate work on all creative assets needed to fulfill commitments to sponsors, community partners, media and donors
Support the PR & Media Relations team that fit VAFF’s brand
Together with the Creative Director, become the brand guardian by ensuring all work fit brand guidelines
Oversee the advertising budget
Attend networking events to help promote upcoming events and increase awareness of VAFF
Participate in monthly meetings with at least 60% attendance
Is exceptionally strong in communications
Has a degree in something relevant to Marketing or equivalent experience
Has an ability to understand and analyze trends
Has a deep understanding of the wide variety of marketing channels
Loves mentoring people to elevate them
Has at least 5+ years of experience in Marketing & Communications
