Church Service Assistant
The Spiritual Care program at Yaletown House assists our residents to achieve optimal health and quality of life. Volunteers play an essential role in supporting us to facilitate safe, person centered, therapeutic programs. Volunteers are needed to assist the Spiritual Care coordinator to facilitate a weekly, non-denominational church service. This program takes place on Mondays from 1 - 3.
Assists with the set up, facilitation and clean up of the Church Service.
The ability to understand direction and work independently.
Good listening skills.
The ability to communicate with and support people who have compromised memory and communication.
Understands and respects confidentiality.
General orientation to the facility.
Specific training to the program by the program leader. The gratitude of the residents, staff and family members.
After three months of continuous service a reference letter will be proved upon request. Criminal Records Check.
