Position description: 

Are you one of those people who loves to create magic when it comes to the spirit of Christmas? Do you have a creative flair that begs to find an outlet? If so, why not consider joining our team of artists, as part of the Crossroads Hospice Society, 25th Annual Fundraising Event, Treasures of Christmas gala? This is a fun and creative opportunity for your special touch to make a difference. We are looking for people who are passionate about decorating Christmas trees for the live auction. You will be working and supported by a team of staff and volunteers who are dedicated to making each of these trees a spectacular work of art that will shine on the evening of our event! In addition to the decorating we need individuals to assist us with getting “wish list” items donated to go under these trees.

Deliverables/Duties: 

• Decide on décor, select and purchase tree decorations within budget guidelines
• Working collaboratively with the donations committee, seek “wish list” items for the tree: donations of gifts are encouraged, there is some money in the budget to purchase gifts
• Plan decoration shopping, set-up, takedown the tree day of the event

Qualifications: 

• Ability to create a spectacular, and stunning Christmas tree
• Previous experience in fundraising an asset, but not necessary
• Strong organization skills
• Flexibility and ability to work to meet deadlines
