Position description: 

The secretary keeps record of the work of the Board to ensure decisions made are available. The secretary (and other members of the DTESNH board) adhere to the DTESNH Mission and Vison.




Committed to the work of the DTES Neighbourhood House

Keeps copies of the DTES Neighbourhood House’s bylaws and policy statements

Access to official minutes to meetings (including AGM minutes)

Keeps record of Board attendance

Records minutes of board meetings

Ensures copies of minutes of both Board and Committee meetings are kept

Ensures minutes of meeting are distributed promptly after meetings

Membership notification of AGM

Updates the BOD membership list to the Societies Act as needed

Participate in at least one working committee

Active Volunteer


Knowledge of non-profit culture and Charity status

Knowledge of Board Governance

Knowledge of and/or Connection to the DTES Community
