Position description: 

BECOME A BIG BROTHER!

Big Brothers are men over the age of 18 who provide fun and friendship for boys, aged 7-14, who have limited-to-no contact with their fathers. Big & Little Brothers do a wide variety of no-cost/low-cost activities of their choice: hiking, biking, swimming, movies, listening to music, hanging out. Big and Little Brothers spend 2 -4 hours per week together for one year.

Qualifications: 

No special skills or previous experience necessary but must be caring and dependable. Must be 18 years or older. A Police Information Check - Vulnerable Sector and references are required.

Additional Information: 

Have fun, de-stress, feel like a kid again! We organize fun activities year-round like water skiing, sailing and wall-climbing. We also get free movie passes and tickets to sporting and cultural events that our Big & Little Brothers can use. A Big Brother is matched with a Little Brother based on personality type and similar interests. Volunteers are asked to commit for a minimum duration of one year. Requires police information check - vulnerable sector; Male
