Position description: 

We are currently accepting applications for volunteers at our Pathways to Education Surrey location for 2020!

Pathways to Education provides a comprehensive set of academic, social, financial and individual supports to youth. The result of this unique program has been ground-breaking, increasing high school graduation rates by 75%! Pathways supports youth living in Whalley and Guilford neighbourhoods in Surrey in their educational success.

We are looking for volunteers for academic tutoring positions. Tutors will work with youth to help them complete their homework and provide academic support in high school subjects. We are looking for committed people willing to come and share knowledge, encouragement and expertise. 

Volunteers must be able to commit to 1 evening per week for 3 hours throughout the high school calendar (January 2020 – June 2020). Volunteers are also required to have a Criminal Record Check (in the vulnerable sector) completed with their application, please contact us for more information.

Orientations and free trainings are offered to volunteers throughout the year.

This is an excellent opportunity to engage in a meaningful, community based program!
