Position description: 

Earn you halo as a Snow Angel!

Cold Lake and District FCSS is seeking volunteer Snow Angels to help residents remove snow and ice from their sidewalks, walkways and stairs for winter 2018-2019.

The Snow Angels Program encourages neighbors and community volunteers to help one another and thereby build a caring, engaged community. Residents in need of snow removal have “Snow Angel” signs on placed their yards.

We have addresses in Cold Lake North and South seeking Snow Angels.

Volunteering as a Snow Angel is a great family, team or corporate volunteer opportunity.   Students requiring volunteer hours for community service will be given a volunteer timesheet.

  • Remove snow and ice from sidewalk, walkways and stairs of residents in need of help.

Additional Information: 

By volunteering as Snow Angels, you are helping to decrease the chance of slips and falls, which are the leading cause of injury-related hospitalization for seniors.  

The Public Health Agency of Canada, reported in their 2014 study, Seniors’ Falls in Canada, Second Report, that 20-30% of Canadian seniors fall annually.
