Position description: 

Orbiting Trends is seeking scheduled and drop-in volunteers to help with receiving and sorting donated goods.

This is a great volunteer opportunity for those who enjoy organizing, have an appreciation for vintage items or prefer to work "behind the scenes".

Orbiting Trends is a second hand store owned and operated by the  Dr.Margaret Savage Crisis Centre.  Proceeds from Orbiting Trends supports Joie's Phoenix House and  DMSCC programming.


  • Assist Orbiting Trends staff to receive and sort donated goods
  • Keep work area tidy and safe
  • Follow safe work practices
  • Age 14 and over
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Honest and reliable
Role is suitable for: 
13 - 18
English as a second language (ESL)

Additional Information: 
  • Volunteers have the opportunity to advance to cashier volunteer positions
