Volunteer Grandparents- New Westminster

Position description: 

Volunteers over the age of 50 are needed for our "Volunteer Grandparent Program" that connects screened volunteers with children and families without accessible grandparents. We have families waiting for a special volunteer in many different communities throughout the Lower Mainland (Burnaby, Vancouver, and New Westminster)

Time Commitment: 2-4 hours per week for a minimum of one year.
Volunteers must be screened before placement.

Deliverables/Duties: 

Be a stable and reliable mentor in a child and family's life

Qualifications: 

Must be comfortable with children, patient, kind. Good sense of humour. Times worked out by mutual agreement between family and volunteer grandparent.
