Position description: 

Bridging the Generations!
You can fill a void in a child's life by becoming a Volunteer Grandparent. If you are a senior who believes in the importance of grandparent connections and you want to meet new people in Vancouver, share your skills and have a positive impact in a child's life than this important role is a good fit for you. Volunteers over the age of 50 are needed for our "Volunteer Grandparent Program." We connect screened volunteers with children and families without accessible grandparents.
Time Commitment: 2-4 hours/week for a minimum of one year.


Volunteer Grandparents provide a loving and stable role model to a child and family.


Must be comfortable with children, patient, kind. Times worked out by mutual agreement between family and volunteer grandparent.

Orientation and ongoing support provided. Stay connected to the community, share your skills, meet new people and learn new things. You can spend cherished time with a child and family.
Volunteers are invited to an annual appreciation event in recognition of their time.
Criminal records check and screening process involved before placements. Volunteers who are accepted into the program receive a program orientation and training. Please call us for more details- 604-736-8271
