SOCIAL MEDIA EXPERT
The Burnaby Hospice Society envisions a community where no one goes through the journey of dying, death and grieving alone. We offer compassionate emotional and practical support to people with life limiting illnesses and to their loved ones. We are committed to improving palliative and grief support by fostering a strong learning culture, and sharing our knowledge through community education and training programs.
At the center of what we do is the belief that each of us has the right to die peacefully, with dignity, and with full palliative support. Our caring and supportive volunteers help to make this difficult life passage more meaningful and comfortable by providing emotional, social and practical support for patients and their families.
We are looking for a savvy communications professional who'll help the BHS with their social media presence. This position reports to the GM Operations.
- Update social media 2x a week
- Help to create content across our digital channels. This could include blog posts, tweets, status updates, pins, photos and videos.
- Experience with social media platforms, including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube
- Experience writing, editing and crafting content for the social media space.
We provide services in Burnaby to individuals and families going through the end-of-life journey. We support individuals who are in palliative or hospice care along with their families and caregivers. We educate our community about death, dying and bereavement.:
