Red Cross - Finance & Administrative Support Volunteer
Region: Victoria, BC
The Finance and Administrative support Volunteer supports the administrative functions with a focus on finance related tasks in BC & Yukon. Provides support to the field emergency operations teams ensuring financial accountability and will provide financial support to all disaster responses throughout the province and Territory.
Completes the monthly reconciliation for various financial processes such as vehicle mileage tracking, postage, copying expenses, and donations.
Complete transfer forms as directed by Finance.
Supports Financial Administration in Maintaining file storage and Accounts Payable Tracking.
Accurately completes New Vendor forms for payment processing.
Support financial administration in disaster response including front-line donations processing, bill back for contracts and expenses claims. Supports disaster response teams with financial expertise.
Enter Goods & Services vouchers on tracking spreadsheet.
Other related financial or administrative support duties as may be required.
High school diploma
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Above average excel skills.
Ability to work independently, and as part of a team.
Be able to maintain confidentiality.
Willingness to deploy during domestic disaster responses.
Experience in finance administration.
Fluency in a second language.
Experience in working with a diverse population, and an understanding of cultural issues.
Work will occur in an office environment and hours of work are 2 hours per week. Extended hours may be required during disaster response.
This position also requires a satisfactory Canadian criminal record & reference check.
