McKercher Daycamp volunteer
Since 1971, Burnaby Family Life has been offering programs and services to individuals and families in Burnaby. Over the past four decades, weve grown, weve expanded and weve helped thousands upon thousands of people to live a better life in a better community. Programs provided in counseling, parenting, pregnancy, English language skills, childhood literacy, childcare and licensed daycare. This position offers help, assisting daycamp staff.
Morning shift 8:30am-10am
or 3pm-5:30pm
Volunteers will work together with staff taking care of children from age 5-12 in a daycamp setting. Volunteers will assist program staff in setting up the room with different activities, playing with children, attending to the childrens needs such as playing board games and serving snack.
Experience working with children ages 5 to 12 is an asset.
Volunteer interview and police criminal record check before volunteer position are required
Suitable for 16year old and up.
