Community Events Volunteer
The Port Moody Arts Centre is looking for friendly and dedicated Community Events Volunteers! Our Community Events Volunteers can participate in two different types of event, Gallery Receptions and neighborhood events.
Gallery Receptions occur approximately nine times per year (contact for further information regarding dates) and are convivial events of artists and community members. Volunteers coordinate food service, ensuring that food and beverages are replenished throughout the night.
The Arts Centre also participates in a variety of municipal and neighborhood events, including the Port Moody Community Fair, the Shuffle: Art Walk, and Car-Free Day, among others. During these events, occuring throughout the year, volunteers distribute information about the Arts Centre through word-of-mouth conversation, handing out brochures, and engage the community with art activities. Some events are craft-based, others involve conversational outreach and information distribution. Volunteers will be notified of dates and locations of off-site events as the event approaches.
