Boutique Stock Person/Sorter
We are seeking an experienced, mature stock clerk for our thrift store.
If you are artistic and creative, you may also like to design the showcase windows.
We are looking for Monday and Wednesday volunteers 12:30pm-3:30pm.
To sort clothing and other donated items selecting those that are in good condition and appropriate for our residents and shoppers.
To discard inappropriate donations and place them in bags for distribution elsewhere;
To sort items for season.
To assist with pricing of items.
To display sorted and priced items in the boutique.
Socialize with and assist customers. Must enjoy working with seniors.
Our Boutique is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 12:30pm to 3:30pm.

Sort clothing and other donations. Tidy rooms, Stock shelves, create attractive displays. Be adept at interpersonal skills and problem solving.

Must undergo a Criminal Record Search.
Volunteer orientation, cash register training, boutique training and the opportunity to attend in-service education sessions with staff. Learn new skills, make new friends, gain insight and experience for personal or career goals, improve self-confidence, and gain satisfaction from helping others. Requires a criminal records check through the Ministry of Public Safety or a Police Record Check through your local police detachment. During influenza season (December 1 to April 30) a flu vaccination is required OR care home visitors must wear masks. Masks are available at the front door of the care home.
