Description: |
Volunteer for Positions at Mckernan (University Area) and/or Meadowlark (West End) Respite Centres!
After school Program:
Monday - Friday from 2pm - 6pm
Your duties would include:
- engaging in a variety of activities with children and youth that encourage the development of gross motor, expressive art, and essential life skills.
- supervision of children & youth during snack time
- building relationships with children & youth
Teen Night Program - (McKernan Respite Centre)
Thursdays from 6pm - 9pm
Your duties would include:
- engaging in a wide variety of activities alongside Teens with special needs
- accompanying staff and youth on various community activities and special event outings
- assistance with Art Therapy Group sessions
Saturday Respite Program, Saturdays 9:00am - 5:30pm:
Your duties would include:
- - engaging in a variety of activities with children and youth that encourage the development of gross motor, expressive art, and essential life skills.
- supervision of children & youth during snack/lunch time
- building relationships with children & youth |  |

- Shadowing employees
- Briefing on clients
- Orientation of Centre Operations
