In pursuit of this vision, Bissell Centre exists in order to:
Meet basic daily needs met for those with least access to resources , Improve the quality of life for those with least access to resources, Give children living in poverty a chance for a brighter present and future , Increase the education and awareness of issues of poverty within the greater Edmonton community.
Description:
Volunteer will help staff collect donated food for the effective distribution to program participants with food insecurity.
Volunteers Required:

Skills and Experience:
-Knowledge of the inner city, its issues and the work of the Bissell Centre
-Understanding of the importance of, and maintain, client confidentiality
-Courtesy towards clients
-Good personal hygiene
-Safe food handling practices
-Capable of working independently and collaboratively
-Reliable and trustworthy
-Good attention to details

Training Provided:
Orientation to the Bissell Centre as well as on the job training provided by supervisor.
