Seniors At Home Wellness Program Volunteeer

Position description: 

This Project has a few stages, the overall goal is to combat social isolation in seniors through training them in using the Claris Companion Tablet and at home gentle wellness exercises.

Initially, Volunteers will contact seniors in the Mt Pleasant Community who have been identified as at risk for isolation. Volunteers will engage with these seniors through conducting an initial survey to access their current experience of connection and isolation. Seniors will also be assessmed on a Scale of Isolation throughout their experience in the At Home Wellness Project. Volunteers will be provided training on the operation of Claris Companion Tablets. Additionally, volunteers will be trained on providing a few gentle exercises that the volunteer will then introduce to the seniors in their homes.

Qualifications: 

- Clear criminal record check

- Willingness to learn and completion training
