Position: Birthday Party Volunteer
Reports to: Visitor Experience Managers and Science Facilitators
What is a Birthday Party at Science World?
Science World offers 4 different theme birthday parties for children of all ages: from infant to age 12. Your role as a Birthday Party Volunteer will be to assist staff members with these parties, usually consisting of groups of 10 or more children.
What will you do?
Assist the staff with parties on Saturdays or Sundays
Assist with putting up and taking down decorations
Assist staff with storage of party items
Assist with general set and clean up of rooms
Help serve food and assist with food clean up, including dishes
Assist the birthday staff to make the party a very special day for the families and guests
Can you commit to
a 3 hour volunteer shift once a week
a minimum of 100 hours of volunteer time
attending our mandatory orientation session: Sunday, February 26th (8:30am to 2:00pm)

Saturday or Sunday Shift Times:
10:00am - 1:00pm
12:30pm - 3:30pm
3:00pm - 6:00pm

You enjoy working with children
You are flexible, understanding, patient and cheerful
You have the ability to multitask and work independently
