VOLUNTEER ADMIN SUPPORT
The Society To End Homelessness In Burnaby is committed to working with all levels of government, the health authority, social service agencies, businesses, faith communities, and concerned citizens to ensure the provision of housing, support services and adequate income for Burnaby residents who are without housing or at risk of homelessness in Burnaby.
The Society To End Homelessness In Burnaby operates an Outreach Resource Centre one morning a week working collaboratively with local agencies, businesses and faith communities. The Outreach Resource Centre provides food, clothing, toiletries and outreach worker assistance for Burnaby citizens who are living in extreme poverty and homelessness. The Outreach Resource Centre operates solely on donations from businesses, faith community members and concerned citizens.
This volunteer is available for 3 hours per week between 8am – 4pm (Monday Tuesday Wednesday or Friday) to ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of the Society office. Duties include: data entry, filing, assisting in the preparation of reports, admin support.
This volunteer must be honest, reliable, demonstrate attention to detail, able to take directions, able to work as a team and individually. Experience with data entry and computers an asset. (MSWord? Excel?)
The greatest benefit of this position is knowing that your contribution will greatly assist this program. Volunteers are recognized individually and as a group. This Volunteer must be at least 19 years of age. This Volunteer will sign a confidentiality agreement. Two references required. A criminal record check is mandatory.
