LOOKING FOR Active and Engaging Youth!

You are here

Position description:

Burnaby Community Services are searching for active youth with great public speaking and facilitation skills to conduct a CHAT CORNER! This chat corner consists of discussion facilitation with public participants during our Battle of the Paddles event. You will be co-facilitating a discussion corner with our staff, engaging in artistic crafts with participants to develop a memorable project, and developing your network with the Burnaby community!

Battle of the Paddles will be a fun day of friendly competition and connections as teams of five paddle in competitive heats on the Burrard Inlet. Interactive activities including the chat corner and artistic crafts will be available throughout the day.

All youth volunteers will receive reference letters, consisting of volunteer hour certification and recognition of participation. This day long event is a great resource to expand your network and broaden your skill set when working with your community!
