Income Tax Filer

Position description: 

You can help low income newcomers by completing and filing tax information forms including intake and disclosure forms.

Our tax clinic program is held during March and April at two locations:

March 15, 2017 - April 22, 2017
Wednesday, Friday and one Saturday (flexible)
5902 Kingsway, Burnaby

Interviews and training occur December and January.

Deliverables/Duties: 

• Assist with setup and clean up of the room before and after tax session.
• Greet clients in a warm and friendly manner and assist them with paperwork.
• File income tax return for clients through UFile program.
• Ensure that all client information is kept confidential and safe.
Adhere to MOSAIC’s policy and procedures.

Qualifications: 

• Comfortable working with people from different culture and background.
• Must have filed online income tax in order to create an online E-file account.
• Fluent in English. Second language is an asset.
• Accounting or bookkeeping experience is an asset
• Proficient in computer software, including UFile is an asset

- Be Registered with CRA and have a Ufile number and password
